Rep. Nancy Mace made shocking accusations against her ex-fiancé and three business partners, alleging they were involved in heinous sexual crimes against herself and a dozen other women, including underage girls. In a bold speech on the House floor, Mace revealed that she had discovered over 10,000 videos and photos on her former fiancé Patrick Bryant’s phone, which depicted rape, voyeurism, and exploitation of women and girls in her district.

The congresswoman described finding nonconsensual images of female employees, wives of male employees, girlfriends, and even underage girls who were unaware they were being filmed. She recounted a disturbing incident where she discovered a video of an incapacitated woman being sexually assaulted by Bryant and one of his business associates, with another business associate filming the act.

Mace claimed that despite her efforts to report the evidence to the state attorney general’s office, the investigation was slow to progress. She accused South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson of failing to take action and even suggested witness intimidation by one of Bryant’s associates.

Bryant denied the allegations, stating that he would cooperate fully with any legal processes to clear his name. Mace detailed how her discovery of a video of herself undressed on Bryant’s phone led to physical assault and forced her into hiding, resulting in a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Throughout her speech, Mace criticized Wilson for allegedly stalling the investigation and failing to protect female victims. She challenged anyone to arrest her for standing up for women and holding perpetrators accountable.

Wilson’s office refuted Mace’s claims, calling them politically motivated and categorically false. They stated that they had not received any reports or requests for assistance regarding the allegations and emphasized that local law enforcement agencies would be responsible for investigating any potential crimes.

The individuals accused by Mace, including Bryant, John Osborne, Eric Bowman, and Brian Musgrave, denied the allegations and criticized Mace for making inflammatory claims without evidence. Musgrave called Mace’s statement a dangerous mix of falsehoods and baseless accusations.

Despite the backlash, Mace highlighted the legislative measures she had taken to combat sexual offenses and protect women from abuse. She emphasized the importance of holding predators accountable and urged for action to address the documented facts of her claims.
