The Netherlands emerged victorious in a crucial Nations League clash against Hungary, securing their spot in the quarter-finals with a resounding 4-0 win. The match saw early penalties converted by Wout Weghorst and Cody Gakpo, setting the Oranje on course for a dominant performance. Denzel Dumfries and Teun Koopmeiners added to the scoreline in the second half, sealing the fate of the Hungarian team. The game was momentarily halted due to a medical emergency involving Hungary’s assistant coach, Ádám Szalai, who was later confirmed to be in stable condition.

In a separate fixture, Germany made history by thrashing Bosnia and Herzegovina 7-0, marking the biggest win in the history of the Nations League. Jamal Musiala, Tim Kleindienst, Kai Havertz, Florian Wirtz, and Leroy Sané were among the goal scorers in a clinical display by the German team. The victory propelled Germany to the top of Group A3, with a comfortable five-point lead heading into the final match.

In other Nations League results, Georgia and Ukraine settled for a 1-1 draw in Group B1, while the Czech Republic maintained their lead with a goalless stalemate against Albania. Turkey and Wales played out a goalless draw in Group B4, with Turkey missing a late penalty opportunity. Iceland secured a 2-0 victory over Montenegro in the same group, keeping the competition fierce as the group stage nears its conclusion.
