Inkatha Freedom Party leader Velenkosini Hlabisa has taken a stand against the mistreatment of women within the party, calling out male leaders for their actions.

During the IFP’s women’s brigade celebration, Hlabisa made it clear that any form of victimization or abuse towards female employees will not be tolerated.

He specifically addressed male mayors, deputy mayors, and speakers within the party, warning them about the consequences of their actions.

Recent incidents within the party have brought to light cases of rape, sexual harassment, and exploitation of women by senior IFP members.

Hlabisa’s strong stance against these actions has garnered both support and backlash, with some attempting to tarnish his reputation.

Despite the criticism, Hlabisa remains steadfast in his commitment to defending women and holding abusers accountable.

He emphasized the need for more women in leadership positions within the party and pledged to empower female councillors to take on key roles in government.

Looking ahead, Hlabisa outlined plans to strengthen the IFP’s legacy and continue the fight for social justice, with a focus on protecting women and children.

The party also aims to push for stricter laws and harsher penalties for offenders involved in crimes against women and children.
