The Basketball Africa League (BAL) Nile Conference kicked off with an exciting matchup between Al Ahli Tripoli from Libya and Made By Basketball (MBB) from South Africa. Former NBA Academy Africa student-athlete Jean-Jacques Boissy was the standout player of the game, scoring 28 points, including 24 from behind the arc, grabbing seven rebounds, and recording three steals. Al Ahli Tripoli emerged victorious with an 87-77 win over MBB.
In the second game of the night, APR from Rwanda faced off against Nairobi City Thunder from Kenya. Aliou Diara put on a stellar performance for APR, finishing with 21 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, and four steals. Former NBA player Chasson Randle added 20 points as APR cruised to a 92-63 victory over Nairobi City Thunder.
The action continues on Sunday with Nairobi City Thunder taking on Al Ahli Tripoli followed by MBB facing APR in the Nile Conference.
