Boulder Police Investigating After Six College Students Overdose on Tainted Cocaine
Boulder police are currently investigating a concerning incident that occurred on Saturday night, where six college students reportedly overdosed after consuming a tainted batch of cocaine. The incident is believed to be linked to a botched fraternity pledging at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house on Pennsylvania Avenue.
According to reports, between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Boulder officers responded to the fraternity house after receiving multiple overdose calls. At least six men were either taken to the hospital or treated on the scene by paramedics. Fortunately, all individuals are expected to survive.
It was determined that the group had consumed a possibly tainted batch of cocaine during a party at the fraternity house, where alcohol was also involved. Investigators are now looking into whether this incident is connected to the pledging activities at the fraternity.
