16 South African celebrities who died in 2024 [PICS]

Legendary actor Darlington “Papa G” Michaels, who was popular for his role in Isidingo, died on 13 September 2024 due to complications from a respiratory illness. His performances on screen were loved by many.

Veteran actor Sello Motloung collapsed at his home in Johannesburg in September this year and sadly passed away at the age of 54. His talent and contributions to the acting world will be remembered by fans and colleagues.

On 2 October, legendary singer Solly Moholo succumbed to his illness in hospital after suffering a stroke and multiple organ failure while in Botswana. His music touched the hearts of many and will live on through his recordings.

Former beauty queen Sasha-Lee Walton reportedly died by suicide at the age of 54, leaving behind a legacy of beauty and grace. Her passing was a shock to many in the entertainment industry.
