Yango Ghana, a part of the global tech company Yango Group, recently celebrated International Driver’s Day by honoring top-performing partner drivers. This celebration, held on 7th June, recognized drivers who excelled in various aspects such as supply hours, trips, user ratings, and road safety over the past months. Yango expressed gratitude for the hard work and dedication of these drivers, who consistently go above and beyond to provide exceptional service to their passengers.

During the event, partner drivers were presented with food baskets and essential items for car maintenance as a token of appreciation. This gesture not only highlighted Yango’s recognition of the significant contribution these drivers make to the ride-hailing industry but also underscored the company’s commitment to supporting and valuing its partners.

Mr. Tom Ofonime, the Country Manager for Yango Ride in Ghana, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the effort and commitment of partner drivers and all stakeholders in the ride-hailing industry. He praised the drivers for their dedication in ensuring safe and reliable transportation for passengers and contributing to the growth of the industry. By recognizing their efforts on International Drivers Day, Yango aimed to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

One of the top 25 partner drivers honored at the event, Samuel Kojo Yirenkyi, expressed his excitement at being recognized and thanked Yango for the gesture on behalf of his fellow drivers. He encouraged drivers to continue delivering high-quality services to passengers and take advantage of the income-generating opportunities offered by Yango. The celebration served as a reminder of the strong bond between drivers and passengers and motivated drivers to strive for excellence in their service.
