CWBChicago was established in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings.

Since its inception, our coverage area has expanded to include neighborhoods like Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side areas. Our core mission remains unchanged: to deliver original reporting on public safety issues with a level of detail and context that surpasses mainstream media outlets.
