The upcoming Trace Awards & Summit 2025 is set to be a spectacular event that will light up Zanzibar. The highly anticipated Trace Awards ceremony, scheduled for 26 February 2025, promises to bring together the finest talents from across the African continent and the diaspora. Fans from around the globe are encouraged to actively participate by casting their votes for their favorite artists.

Voting for the Trace Awards is now officially open on their website www.traceawards.plus. The public vote holds significant weight, accounting for 50% of the final decision in selecting the winners. The remaining 50% is determined by the votes of an expert jury.

A Celebration of African Musical Diversity

Africa is a melting pot of diverse musical styles that have greatly influenced contemporary music worldwide. The Trace Awards aim to showcase the richness and excellence of Afro music across various genres such as Afrobeat, dancehall, hip-hop, Afro-pop, mbalax, amapiano, zouk, kizomba, genge, coupé-décalé, bongo flava, soukous, gospel, rap, raï, kompa, RnB, and rumba. Artists hailing from over 30 countries in Africa, South America, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and Europe are competing in 24 different categories.

Why Vote?

The Trace Awards go beyond being just an event; they serve as a platform dedicated to recognizing artists who are shaping the future of African and international music. By participating in the voting process, fans have the opportunity to amplify the voices of their favorite artists both locally and globally. It is a chance to support works that reflect cultural pride and identity.

Voting for the Trace Awards closes on 15 February 2025. The voting process is free, accessible to all, and fully compliant with RGPD regulations.
