PRESS REVIEW – Tuesday, November 12: The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is facing intense pressure to resign as the Church of England grapples with a scandal involving a former lawyer and member of the Church who has been accused of committing decades-long sexual, physical, and psychological abuse. A recent review has revealed shocking details of a cover-up within the Church, further exacerbating the scandal.

The investigation into the misconduct of the former lawyer has unearthed a disturbing pattern of abuse that was allegedly swept under the rug by Church officials. The Archbishop of Canterbury is now under scrutiny for his handling of the situation and faces growing calls for his resignation as the Church struggles to come to terms with the extent of the abuse that has taken place.

In Sudan, a different kind of crisis is brewing as the country teeters on the brink of outright war between warring generals. The population is suffering from disease and famine, while cultural treasures are being looted and destroyed amid the chaos. The situation in Sudan is dire, with the international community closely monitoring the escalating tensions and humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.

Meanwhile, in Russia, a controversial law is being proposed to combat what the government calls “child-free propaganda.” The legislation seeks to crack down on messaging that promotes a child-free lifestyle, sparking debate and criticism from activists and human rights advocates. At the same time, Pavel Durov, the founder of the popular messaging app Telegram, has made headlines by offering free IVF treatment to women who are willing to use his sperm. The unconventional offer has raised eyebrows and sparked a mix of intrigue and skepticism among the public.
