The EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce (EUACC) recently announced a groundbreaking partnership with Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, aimed at boosting international trade, financing, and the competitiveness of Ivorian businesses in European and global markets. The agreement, signed on December 9, 2024, signifies a shared commitment to advancing economic opportunities for Ivorian exporters.

The collaboration between EUACC and Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export is structured around four key pillars, as outlined in Article 1 of the agreement:

1. Access to Financing: The partnership seeks to mobilize resources to support Ivorian exporters’ initiatives.
2. Access to Markets: Innovative strategies will be implemented to enhance the visibility of Ivorian businesses in international markets.
3. Capacity Building: Economic operators will receive training to meet the demands of European and global markets.
4. Access to Influence: Advocacy efforts will be strengthened to promote Ivorian interests on regional and international platforms.

Through this agreement, both institutions aim to serve as catalysts for regional and international trade, opening up new opportunities for Ivorian economic operators.

Representatives from EUACC and Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export have expressed their enthusiasm and determination to achieve the objectives outlined in the agreement. Implementation efforts are scheduled to kick off in January 2025.

Dr. Kaladji Fadiga, Director General of Agence Côte d’Ivoire Export, highlighted the significance of the agreement in providing Ivorian businesses with opportunities to showcase their expertise in the European market. Sonia Toro, Executive Director of EUACC, emphasized the priority of turning the partnership vision into tangible actions that will enhance the competitiveness of Ivorian economic operators and integrate them into international value chains.
