The Africa Food Show: A Gateway to Africa’s Thriving Food and Beverage Industry

The Africa Food Show is set to make its grand debut at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 10-12 June 2025. With over 350 exhibitors and 6000 visitors expected from more than 25 countries, this B2B event is poised to become Africa’s premier platform for the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry. Showcasing 15 international pavilions, the Africa Food Show presents a golden opportunity for African businesses to tap into global markets and elevate their offerings on the world stage.

The African Development Bank projects that the F&B market in Africa will reach a staggering US$1 trillion by 2030, driven by rapid economic and urban growth across the continent. In response to this growth potential, dmg events, in collaboration with the Dubai World Trade Centre, is launching the Africa Food Show as part of the esteemed Gulfood series. Building on the success of Gulfood in Dubai and the Saudi Food Show, the Africa Food Show aims to highlight the untapped potential of the continent and provide a roadmap for businesses to thrive in the global F&B sector.

The event will feature a diverse range of exhibitors, including major South African brands like Catercorp, Barry Callebaut, Unilever, and Fair Cape, among others. International pavilions from countries such as the Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Canada, India, and Singapore will also be showcased, emphasizing the global appeal of African F&B products and techniques.

Running parallel to the Africa Food Show is the Africa Food Summit, a three-day conference focusing on “transforming healthy foods for climate and health”. Esteemed speakers like Maxwell Gomera from the United Nations, Stacy Saggers from Kantar, and Miles Kubeka from Wakanda Food Accelerator will share insights on the future of African F&B. The summit will also unveil the results of the “Industry Index” survey, shedding light on key trends and challenges in the sector.
