Two Men Arrested in Akwatia for Possession of Live BB Cartridges

Police in the Eastern Region have apprehended two individuals after discovering live BB cartridges in their vehicle at Akwatia.

Details of the Arrest

The suspects, identified as Enoch Asiedu, 32, and Lu Youyan, 58, were stopped while driving a Toyota Hilux pick-up at the Boadua Livingstone Junction Snap Checkpoint. The police found four live BB cartridges during a search of the vehicle.

Claims Made by the Suspects

Enoch Asiedu stated during questioning that the ammunition belonged to his boss, known only as Mohammed, who is also the owner of the vehicle. Efforts are being made by the police to locate Mohammed for further interrogation.

Both Asiedu and Lu Youyan are currently in police custody and are cooperating with the ongoing investigations.
