Caretaker Coach Augustine Eguavoen Unveils Super Eagles Squad for AFCON Qualifiers
Augustine Eguavoen, the caretaker coach of the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, has revealed the 23-man squad for the upcoming qualifying matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The squad includes only one locally based player, Victor Collins from Nasarawa United. Gabriel Osho, the Auxerre defender, received his second call-up and is set to make his debut for the three-time African champions.
Exciting news for fans as key forward Victor Osimhen returns to the squad after recovering from an injury that sidelined him in the previous match.
The Super Eagles are gearing up to face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Thursday, November 14. Following this, they will take on the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
