Nowlun, a promising Egyptian logistics startup, has recently announced the successful securing of $1.7 million in seed funding. This significant investment will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s expansion plans and accelerating the development of its innovative platform.

The seed funding round was spearheaded by renowned investors Nama Ventures and A15, with additional participation from prominent angel investors and Sanabil 500 Global. This financial backing signifies a strong vote of confidence in Nowlun’s potential for growth and disruption in the logistics sector.

Founded in 2021 by Moataz Khamis, Mahmoud Khaled, and Ahmed Emara, Nowlun stands out as an online freight forwarding platform that offers users the ability to compare various services and pricing options to cater to their specific needs. This unique approach to logistics has garnered attention and praise from industry insiders and investors alike.

Moataz Khamis, CEO and co-founder of Nowlun, shared his vision for the company, stating, “Having witnessed the inefficiencies in the logistics industry firsthand, my team and I are committed to leveraging advanced technology to drive transformation. This funding will empower us to streamline the shipping process and enhance the overall experience for shippers.”

Mohammed Alzubi, founder and managing partner of Nama Ventures, expressed his excitement about Nowlun, describing it as a “very interesting” venture. He highlighted the team’s industry expertise, strong traction in the Saudi market, and clear vision for disrupting the logistics sector as key factors driving their confidence in the startup’s success.

The newly secured funding will be allocated towards supporting Nowlun’s ambitious growth objectives and expediting the enhancement of its platform. Key features of the platform include real-time cargo tracking, efficient shipment management, and transparent and competitive ocean freight pricing. These capabilities are set to revolutionize the logistics landscape and offer users a seamless and efficient shipping experience.
