In the second match of Group A, both Mozambique and Lesotho struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities in the first 20 minutes of the game, showing a lack of composure in the penalty area.

Thuto Khetsi was a key player for Lesotho, controlling the midfield and attempting diagonal passes to bypass the tight defense of Mozambique. Morena Masithela also made an impact on the left flank, outmaneuvering defenders and delivering crosses into the box.

Abdul Roroge, Mozambique’s central midfielder, tried to break the deadlock with long-range shots and forward passes in the first half. Meanwhile, right-back SidrekAlferes pushed forward to provide support in attack, delivering crosses into the box that unfortunately went unconverted.

Kille Lino showcased his dribbling skills on the right flank for Mozambique, but his crosses often lacked accuracy. It wasn’t until the 90th minute that Levonor Timbe scored a stunning goal from outside the penalty area, securing Mozambique’s first victory of the tournament.

Overall, both teams displayed moments of promise and creativity in their play but struggled to find the finishing touch in front of goal. Mozambique ultimately emerged victorious, thanks to Timbe’s late heroics.

Written by Dennis Mabuka, a seasoned Kenyan journalist with a wealth of experience covering sports events, this analysis provides valuable insights into the key moments of the match between Mozambique and Lesotho. Stay tuned for more updates on the ongoing tournament on en.Africatopsports.com.
