Man Arrested for Stabbing Incident in River North
CHICAGO — Billy Middleton, a 56-year-old man, is set to appear in court on Wednesday afternoon to face charges related to a stabbing incident that occurred on a busy River North street late last year. Middleton was arrested by a U.S. Marshals task force on Monday.
Details of the allegations will be presented during Middleton’s detention hearing. According to Chicago police, the incident unfolded when Middleton emerged from a white sedan and engaged two victims in an argument in the 400 block of North State around 10:15 p.m. on November 22.
During the argument, Middleton reportedly brandished a knife and proceeded to stab both victims, aged 41 and 43, multiple times. Following the stabbings, Middleton fled the scene in the white car and drove south on State Street.
Middleton is facing charges of two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
