The continent of Africa is on the cusp of a significant transformation as it moves towards industrialization and economic integration. One country that is emerging as a key player in this journey is Mozambique, which is quickly establishing itself as a crucial strategic gateway for global trade and investment. In light of this, the first-ever Africa Ports, Logistics & Infrastructure Summit, endorsed by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics of Mozambique, is set to take place on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, in Maputo. This summit will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Mozambique Gas & Energy Summit & Exhibition.
Organized by dmg events in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics of Mozambique, the Africa Ports, Logistics & Infrastructure Summit will bring together over 300 high-level stakeholders from 25 countries. Participants will include government officials, port authorities, infrastructure developers, logistics providers, and global investors.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Hon. João Jorge Matlombe, highlighted Mozambique’s potential in his official endorsement letter, stating that the country is well-positioned to attract global investment as it develops its energy, ports, logistics, and infrastructure sectors. Mozambique’s strategic infrastructure projects, such as the Ponta Techobanine Port and the Maputo-Katembe Bridge, along with regional corridors linking major cities, underscore its importance as a hub for Southern Africa and beyond.
The Africa Ports, Logistics & Infrastructure Summit aims to drive sustainable development across the continent by exploring opportunities in ports, logistics, and infrastructure. Key focus areas will include cross-border corridors, multimodal transport systems, green and resilient infrastructure, digital freight solutions, and innovative public-private partnerships.
This landmark event will serve as a catalyst for investment, collaboration, and long-term planning, setting the stage for a more integrated and prosperous future for Mozambique and Africa as a whole. Participants can expect to gain valuable insights into infrastructure trends, project financing, and regional collaboration through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and case studies showcasing transformative projects across the continent.
The Summit will offer strategic networking opportunities for delegates to connect with key decision-makers and engage in dialogues that will shape the future of ports, logistics, and infrastructure in Africa. By fostering collaboration and investment in critical infrastructure projects, the Africa Ports, Logistics & Infrastructure Summit is poised to drive economic growth and enhance connectivity across the continent.
