Zitha Kwinika’s future at Kaizer Chiefs seems uncertain as reports suggest that he may be on his way out of the club in the upcoming January transfer window. The experienced defender has not featured in any matches under coach Nasreddine Nabi this season, indicating that he may not be part of the coach’s plans for the team.

Having been relegated to the bench as an unused substitute in recent games against Polokwane City and TS Galaxy, it is evident that Kwinika’s time at Chiefs may be coming to an end. Sources close to the club have revealed that there is a strong possibility that the 30-year-old will be offloaded by the management in January.

Chiefs’ ‘good professional’

Kwinika, who returned to Chiefs in 2022 after a successful stint at Stellenbosch FC, has a history with the club dating back to his development years. Despite being considered a good professional, it seems that his lack of game time this season has raised doubts about his future at the club.

“Zitha has been a valuable member of the team in the past seasons, but it appears that coach Nabi has not utilized him in the current campaign,” a source stated.

‘He’s not going to play’

It is clear that Kwinika is not part of the coach’s plans moving forward, leading to speculation about his potential departure from the club. While there have been no official offers from other PSL clubs yet, it is likely that Kwinika will seek opportunities elsewhere to secure regular playing time.
