The Nigeria Premier Football League’s (NPFL) tenth match day proved to be a thrilling and eventful one, with unexpected results and exciting encounters that had a significant impact on the league standings.

Ayomide Cole opened the scoring for the Oga Boys in the 48th minute with a close-range finish, followed by Ajeyigbe Toyeeb setting up Rivio Ayemwenre for the second goal in the 53rd minute.

Elsewhere, Michael Ibe’s solitary goal propelled Remo Stars to a victory over Lobi Stars, while Niger Tornadoes stunned Shooting Stars with a 2-0 win in Minna. Rangers International’s Godwin Obaje grabbed a brace to ensure a win against Nasarawa United, and Kano Pillars secured a late victory over Plateau United courtesy of Ahmed Musa’s goal.

The Oriental Derby saw Heartland FC emerge triumphant with a comfortable 2-0 away win over Abia Warriors, marking their first victory on Abia soil. Bendel Insurance also claimed a vital 2-1 win on the road against Sunshine Stars.

Akwa United edged past Kwara United with a 2-1 victory, while Enyimba FC played out a draw against Bayelsa United in Yenegoa. El-Kanemi Warriors extended their unbeaten run by defeating Katisna United 1-0 in a hard-fought contest.

The NPFL’s Match Day 10 offered fans a mix of drama, excitement, and surprises, setting the stage for more thrilling encounters as the season progresses. With teams jostling for position and points becoming increasingly crucial, the competition is sure to intensify in the coming weeks.
