A shocking incident occurred on Staten Island when a heartless individual fired a pellet gun at a woman holding a baby girl. The 42-year-old victim was outside of 127 Jerome Avenue in Arrochar, holding a 2-month-old infant, when the culprit shot at her from the passenger’s seat of a silver sedan. The woman was struck in the back by the pellet, causing minor injuries. Fortunately, she refused medical attention, but it is unclear if the baby sustained any injuries in the attack.

Surveillance footage captured the unidentified perpetrator wearing a bright orange jacket as he shot the pellet gun from the vehicle. The silver sedan was last seen fleeing westbound on Evergreen Avenue. The NYPD is actively searching for the suspect and urges anyone with information to come forward. If you have any details related to this incident, you can contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish speakers. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers website.

This appalling act of violence has left the community shaken, and authorities are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrator and bring them to justice. It is essential for the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement to ensure the safety of all residents. Let us stand together against such senseless acts of violence and protect our neighborhoods from harm.
