Ghanaian music has reached a new milestone with the inclusion of Solomon Obeng, widely known as DJ Loft, in Apple Music’s prestigious Africa Now Mix series. This groundbreaking achievement marks DJ Loft as the first local Ghanaian DJ to be featured in this renowned platform.

Reflecting on this momentous occasion, DJ Loft expressed his surprise and honor upon receiving the invitation from Apple Music. He mentioned, "I never expected it, and I feel incredibly honored to be selected as the first Ghanaian DJ in this series. I’ve been doing mixes for years now, and to see how far I’ve come with it, it’s a dream come true."

Despite being given the pre-curated playlist for the Africa Now mix series, DJ Loft has managed to create a truly exceptional masterpiece. By skillfully blending and reimagining the tracks, he has transformed a routine set into a remarkable work of art. This feat places him alongside some of Africa’s most renowned DJs who have graced the Africa Now Mix series, establishing DJ Loft as a trailblazer representing Ghana on this influential platform.

With over a decade of experience, DJ Loft has captivated audiences worldwide with his mixes, creating unforgettable experiences that resonate with listeners globally. His Cups and Bass mixes, in collaboration with MC/Hypeman Kojo Manuel, have garnered attention not only in Ghana but also on the international stage. Three years ago, DJ Loft made waves by being featured on the international Ebro Show, showcasing his global appeal.

DJ Loft’s accolades include winning the Mixtape of the Year award for three consecutive years at the Ghana DJ Awards (2021–2023). He has also been recognized as Mobile DJ of the Year and Event DJ of the Year. In 2023, he was crowned Best DJ at the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, further solidifying his position in the DJing elite and setting new standards for innovation and boundary-pushing in the industry.
