Rushine De Reuck Joins Maccabi Petah Tikva on Loan
Rushine De Reuck, the talented centre-back from Mamelodi Sundowns, has secured a loan move to Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva for the remainder of the season. De Reuck has found limited playing time at Sundowns this season, with only five appearances in the Betway Premiership.
Seeking more consistent game time, the 29-year-old has made the move to Tikva, where he will be plying his trade for the coming months. Maccabi Petah Tikva currently finds themselves struggling in the league, occupying the 12th spot out of 14 teams after 20 matches.
After much speculation surrounding his future, De Reuck was officially announced by Tikva on Monday evening. While there were talks of a potential move to Sekhukhune United, the deal did not come to fruition, leading to his transfer to the Israeli club.
With Mamelodi Sundowns on the verge of signing Keanu Cupido from Cape Town City, De Reuck’s chances of getting regular playing time were further diminished. While Sundowns have yet to confirm De Reuck’s departure, Maccabi Petah Tikva took to social media to announce the signing.
“The South African defender Rushine de Reuck has signed with the team until the end of the season. He will wear jersey number 3,” the club stated on their Instagram page.
De Reuck’s move to Maccabi Petah Tikva marks a new chapter in his career, as he aims to make an impact in the Israeli league and showcase his abilities on the pitch. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how he adapts to his new surroundings and contributes to his new team’s success.
