Chinese President Xi Jinping and Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Hassan Strengthen Ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Hassan recently met in Casablanca to reaffirm their commitment to deepening ties between China and Morocco. The meeting took place at Casablanca’s airport, where Hassan, along with Morocco’s Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, welcomed Xi following his state visit to Brazil.

During the meeting, Xi emphasized Beijing’s readiness to strengthen its strategic partnership with Rabat, highlighting successful cooperation across various sectors since King Mohammed VI’s visit to China in 2016. He expressed China’s willingness to work closely with Morocco on implementing outcomes from the China-Africa and China-Arab cooperation forums, within the Belt and Road framework.

In response, Hassan conveyed King Mohammed VI’s warm greetings and acknowledged the positive momentum in bilateral relations. He underscored the mutual support between the two countries on issues of core national interest.
