APO Group, a leading Pan-African communications and media relations consultancy, has been honored with two prestigious awards at the 2025 Davos Communications Awards in Davos, Switzerland. The awards, presented by the World Communications Forum Association (WCFA), recognize outstanding achievements in the field of communications and media relations.

One of the accolades received by APO Group was a Gold Award for Canon’s ‘World Unseen’ campaign at GITEX Africa. This groundbreaking PR event allowed individuals who are visually impaired to experience photography in a unique and innovative way. By engaging with photography through different sensory inputs, Canon challenged societal norms and showcased the power of inclusive technology.

The second award, a Bronze Award, was given for the ’10 Years of Miraisha’ celebration. This campaign marked a decade of Canon’s youth program in Africa, using storytelling to engage audiences and garner attention from major media outlets.

These awards add to APO Group’s growing list of international accolades, including being named Africa’s Leading PR Agency for 2025 by Brands Review Magazine, Rania El-Rafie winning the Most Innovative Woman of the Year Bronze Stevie® Award in 2025, and receiving five awards at the 2023 SABRE Awards Africa for excellence in reputation management, brand building, and social media strategy.

Founder and Chairman of APO Group, Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, expressed his pride in the company’s collaborations and commitment to promoting positive narratives across Africa. He stated, “APO Group continues to lead the way in shaping Africa’s communications landscape.”

Somesh Adukia, Managing Director of Canon Central and North Africa (CCNA), praised the partnership with APO Group, highlighting their strategic storytelling approach and deep understanding of the African media landscape. Adukia emphasized Canon’s dedication to inclusivity and empowering African talent through initiatives like ‘World Unseen’ and ’10 Years of Miraisha Programme.’
