Ghanaian player Antoine Semenyo made headlines with his opening goal as Bournemouth stunned Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium. The 24-year-old forward showcased his skill as he received a perfect pass from Milos Kerkez and expertly found the back of the net with a right-footed strike.

Following Semenyo’s goal, Bournemouth extended their lead through Evanilson before Josko Gvardiol pulled one back for Manchester City. The victory saw Pep Guardiola’s side drop to second place in the league standings, with Liverpool claiming the top spot after a 2-1 comeback win over Brighton and Hove Albion. Bournemouth, on the other hand, now sits in eighth place on the league table with 15 points.

In addition to his standout performance on the pitch, Semenyo was also recognized off the field, winning both Bournemouth’s Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for September. His impressive strike against Southampton in the English Premier League earned him the goal of the month accolade. The goal, scored in the Cherries’ 3-1 victory over the Saints, showcased Semenyo’s ability to navigate past defenders and deliver a clinical finish in the penalty area.

With a goal contribution per game average, Semenyo has been a key player for Bournemouth this season, contributing to three goals in the first three league games. His total tally now stands at three goals and one assist in the English top flight, solidifying his importance to the team’s success.

Overall, Semenyo’s standout performance on the pitch and recognition off the field highlight his impact on Bournemouth’s campaign this season. As the Cherries continue to climb the league table, Semenyo’s contributions will be crucial in their pursuit of success in the English Premier League.
