The Nigerian national team, known as the Super Eagles, is gearing up for their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa. The team’s camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is abuzz with activity as more players have arrived to join the squad.

The players have wasted no time and already had their first training session on Monday to kick off preparations for the crucial matches. However, one notable absence is Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, who is expected to join the team later this week.

Among the players already in camp are familiar names such as Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Moses Simon, and Wilfred Ndidi. Young talents like Calvin Bassey, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Bright Osayi-Samuel are also present, eager to make their mark on the team.

In addition to the players already in camp, Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is set to join the squad later this evening, adding depth to the goalkeeping department.

The Super Eagles will first take on Rwanda at home in Uyo before traveling to South Africa for their next match. The team is determined to secure victories in these crucial fixtures as they aim to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With a mix of experienced players and promising talents, the Super Eagles are looking to make a statement in the qualifying campaign and continue Nigeria’s proud footballing tradition on the world stage. Fans eagerly await the team’s performance in these upcoming matches as they cheer on their beloved Super Eagles.
