Arrest

Ghanaian authorities have detained social media personality Daniel Adomako, known online as “Sir Obama Pokuase,” following an intelligence-led operation targeting illegal weapons possession.

Detention of Social Media Personality in Ghana

The recent arrest of Daniel Adomako, also known as “Sir Obama Pokuase,” has sent shockwaves through social media circles in Ghana. Adomako was apprehended by authorities after an extensive investigation into his alleged involvement in the circulation of videos showcasing illegal weapons.

Recovery of Illegal Arms

During the operation, security forces managed to seize a significant quantity of illegal firearms and ammunition. Assistant Commissioner Grace Ansah-Akrofi confirmed the successful recovery and stated that Adomako is currently cooperating with law enforcement officials.

Related Arrests

In addition to Adomako’s detention, three other individuals – Prince Ofori, Yayra Abiwu, and Emmanuel Kwayke – are also in custody for their involvement in death threats and spreading false news related to a recent military helicopter crash. The Ghana Police Service is dedicated to dismantling criminal networks and preventing the proliferation of weapons in the country.

Public Safety Concerns

The recent crackdown on criminal activities underscores the increasing concerns surrounding the role of social media in promoting illegal behavior in Ghana. The authorities have urged the public to provide credible information to assist in maintaining law and order.

As the investigation unfolds, the Ghana Police Service has assured the public that all actions will be carried out in accordance with due process. Further updates on the case are expected as the authorities continue their efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of citizens.
