BAL taking flight in fifth season –

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has reached its fifth year, and this season seems to be the most promising yet. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the league is now in full swing, especially evident in this year’s playoffs.

Surprisingly, Pretoria managed to host the playoffs and finals this year, taking the spotlight away from Kigali. This change of venue brought a new energy to the tournament, showcasing the growing popularity of basketball in South Africa. Although the Cape Town Tigers didn’t make it to the playoffs this year, the Angolan team, Petro de Luanda, represented the Southern African Development Community well by securing a spot in the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Al Ahli Tripoli from Libya faced off against Rwanda’s Armée Patriotique Rwandaise (APR) in a thrilling match. Al Ahli Tripoli emerged victorious, becoming the second Libyan team to reach the BAL final. On the other hand, Petro de Luanda dominated their game against Al Ittihad Alexandria, securing a spot in the final after a stellar performance by Samkelo Cele.

As the tournament progresses, excitement builds among fans, with the bronze finish game between Al Ittihad and APR set to take place on Friday. The anticipation for the final on Saturday is palpable, with Petro de Luanda and Al Ahli Tripoli gearing up for what promises to be a thrilling showdown.

Both teams are confident in their abilities, with Petro’s assistant coach Jorge Elorduy expressing satisfaction with their performance and Tripoli’s head coach Fouad Abou Chacra emphasizing their determination to win. The stage is set for an intense final, where the crowd is expected to rally behind their favorite team.

While North African teams have historically dominated the BAL, last season’s victory by Petro de Luanda may signal a shift in power. The Angolan team will be looking to secure back-to-back titles and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in African basketball.

One way consumers can protect themselves from package theft is by choosing a secure delivery location, such as a P.O. box or a designated secure locker. They can also request a signature for delivery or opt for in-store pickup if available. Additionally, consumers can track their packages closely and notify the retailer or shipping company if there are any issues with delivery.

In conclusion, package theft is a growing concern for online shoppers, but there are steps that can be taken to protect against it. By being proactive and taking precautions, consumers can help reduce the risk of falling victim to porch piracy and ensure that their packages arrive safely and securely.
