The 26th edition of the prestigious Telecel Ghana Music Awards took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), marking it as the biggest night of music in Ghana. The event, organized by the Ghana Music Award Academy Board, showcased a lineup of talented artists and celebrated the best in the industry.

In March 2025, the nominees for various categories were announced, including Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. The competition was fierce, with top artists like King Paluta, Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Joe Mettle, Kweku Smoke, and gospel collective Team Eternity leading the pack.

The winners of the 26th TGMA were revealed, and it was a night to remember. King Promise took home the coveted “Artiste of the Year” award, solidifying his position as one of Ghana’s top artists. Other winners included Joe Mettle for Best Gospel Artiste, Beeztrap KOTM for Best New Artist, and Esther Goodwyll for Best Female Vocal Performance, among others.

The event also honored Yaw Sarpong with the Life Achievement Award and recognized outstanding talents in various categories such as Record of the Year, Audio Engineer of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Best Video Director. Team Eternity was crowned Group of the Year, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication to their craft.

The night was filled with electrifying performances, emotional speeches, and well-deserved recognition for the talented individuals who continue to elevate the Ghanaian music industry. The 26th TGMA was a testament to the rich musical heritage of Ghana and the bright future that lies ahead for its artists.
