Chicago woman Kendra Head has been charged with murder and sexual assault in two separate cases, according to prosecutors. The murder took place on August 31, 2024, in the 2900 block of East 89th Street. Head, 27, was allegedly involved in a marijuana transaction with the victim, Alfredo Gonzalez, who was celebrating his 36th birthday. Witnesses reported that Head smoked a joint next to Gonzalez’s car before pulling out a gun and demanding property from him. She is accused of fatally shooting him during the altercation.
Video evidence played a crucial role in the investigation, with multiple Chicago police officers identifying Head from the footage. In an unrelated case, Head is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in 2023. Prosecutors allege that Head picked up the girl from her home and took her to a motel on November 8, where she and a 34-year-old man sexually assaulted the girl after she had fallen asleep from ingesting alcohol and a pill. Head had also reportedly sent explicit videos to the girl.
As a result of these charges, Kendra Head faces first-degree murder and aggravated criminal sexual assault charges. The case highlights the importance of thorough investigative work and the use of video evidence in criminal cases.
