The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has responded to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation’s statements regarding the budget for the Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. In a statement released on September 2, 2025, the GFA acknowledged the concerns raised by the Ministry and assured that clarifications would be provided in due course.

While addressing the issue, the GFA emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the upcoming crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali. The Association urged all Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars and show unwavering support as they prepare for these important encounters.

The GFA highlighted the unity and commitment of the supporters as the team’s greatest strength and called on the nation to keep this spirit alive. The Association also expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and continued support for the Black Stars and all national teams.

A comprehensive response to the Ministry’s statements will be provided after the match against Mali. The GFA assured that they would address the issues raised and provide clarity on the budget for the World Cup qualifiers.

In conclusion, the GFA urged all Ghanaians to stand behind the Black Stars and show their support as the team strives to secure victories in the upcoming matches. The unity and solidarity of the nation will be crucial in boosting the team’s morale and performance on the field.
