A shocking incident unfolded this week in southern California, as a woman volunteering for a local holiday toy drive was attacked and nearly kidnapped by a scammer posing as a donor. Erin Quinn, the victim of the harrowing ordeal, received a text message from an unknown number claiming to be a generous donor named Connie. Little did Quinn know that this seemingly innocent interaction would turn into a nightmare.
Quinn agreed to pick up the donations from an address provided by the scammer. However, upon arriving at the location, Quinn was instructed to wait in her car for the toys to be brought out to her. To her horror, when she returned to her vehicle, she found a woman in the backseat who proceeded to violently attack her. The assailant shocked Quinn with a Taser and forced her to start driving.
After enduring multiple Taser shocks, Quinn bravely crashed the vehicle about 25 minutes into the drive. A physical altercation ensued between Quinn and her attacker, during which Quinn managed to bite off a portion of the woman’s finger in self-defense. It was then revealed that the assailant was none other than Quinn’s former housekeeper, Olga Mendez, disguised in a blonde wig.
Thanks to the intervention of a bystander, Quinn was able to escape the clutches of her attacker. Despite suffering bruises, Taser burns, hair loss, and broken nails, Quinn’s resilience shone through. Local authorities have yet to make any arrests, but Quinn firmly believes that Mendez intended to kidnap her and take her across the border, possibly for ransom or sale.
The traumatic incident has left Quinn shaken to her core, with her life now turned upside down. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by a close friend to support Quinn’s recovery, with donations pouring in to help her through this difficult time. As Quinn grapples with the aftermath of the attack, she remains grateful for the outpouring of support from the community.
