The Trump administration has recently unveiled a new website for individuals interested in obtaining “gold card” visas, which would grant citizenship in exchange for a hefty sum of money. President Donald Trump has stated that these visas would cost a staggering $5 million.

The website, TrumpCard.gov, is now live and invites visitors to enter their information to be notified when applications open. A striking image of the card features President Trump’s face alongside the $5 million figure, hinting at the exclusivity of this program.

In a social media post on Truth Social, President Trump expressed the high demand for these visas, with many eager to gain access to the United States through this unique opportunity. He believes that wealthy individuals who obtain these visas will contribute significantly to the country’s economy by paying taxes, creating jobs, and investing in various sectors.

The “gold card” visas are essentially an updated version of the EB-5 investor visas, according to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. Under the EB-5 program, investors can apply for a green card by investing a minimum of $1 million in a commercial enterprise in the United States and creating at least 10 full-time positions.

However, the gold card program does not align with the Immigration and Nationality Act, the primary U.S. immigration law, as pointed out by the Center for Immigration Studies. This raises questions about the legality and feasibility of the program, with experts expressing doubts about its potential to survive legal challenges.

Despite these concerns, the Trump administration remains confident in the success of the gold card visa program. With the promise of attracting wealthy and successful individuals to the United States, the administration is optimistic about the economic benefits that these visa holders could bring to the country.

As the debate over the gold card visas continues, it is essential to consider the implications of such a program on the U.S. immigration system and the broader economy. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
