The family of the late TikToker Jiare Schneider is currently facing a wave of harassment as they mourn the loss of the popular Internet personality. Unfortunately, fraudsters have been targeting Jiare’s family members, making threats regarding his well-being even after his recent passing.

According to Jiare’s sister, Jasnique Woods, the family has been receiving threats from scammers claiming to have Jiare hostage and demanding a ransom for his release. This has been a distressing experience for the family, especially considering the recent tragic events.

Prior to Jiare’s death, he was missing for 10 days before his body was discovered in a wooded area in Georgia. During this time, the family had posted missing-person flyers in hopes of gathering information about his disappearance. It was through this public effort that the fraudsters managed to obtain Jasnique’s phone number.

Jasnique shared that the scammers have gone to great lengths to deceive the family, with one caller even demanding a $5,000 ransom for Jiare’s release and instructing Jasnique to pay in Bitcoin. Despite the threats, the family has not succumbed to the culprits’ tactics.

In a disturbing turn of events, the scammers even had an actor pretend to be Jiare on the phone, pleading for help. These malicious actions have continued even after Jiare’s body was found, with threats persisting during the family’s time of grieving.

Jasnique disclosed that she received a threatening call on Thanksgiving day, where the caller claimed to have Jiare and made ransom demands. Another call followed the next day, with a woman stating, “I have your son,” before abruptly hanging up.

In response to the ongoing harassment, Jasnique has decided to change her phone number to protect herself and her family. She has chosen not to file a police report for every call, as she is currently focusing on coping with the tragic loss of her brother.

The cause of Jiare’s death is still undetermined, and the family is dedicated to uncovering the truth behind the tragic events. As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
