Tesla Launches Officially in Africa with New Office in Casablanca, Morocco

Tesla has officially launched in Africa with a new office in Casablanca, Morocco, marking its first formal presence on the continent. The establishment of Tesla Morocco in May 2025 signifies a significant milestone for the electric vehicle manufacturer, as it expands its reach into new markets.

The new office in Casablanca will offer a comprehensive range of Tesla-related services, including vehicle imports and servicing, EV charging installations, and solar and battery system deployments. This move comes in anticipation of Tesla’s upcoming factory near Kenitra, which was announced earlier this year. The decision to establish a presence in Morocco follows Tesla’s installation of charging stations in key cities like Casablanca and Tangier in 2021.

Morocco’s robust auto industry, focus on green energy initiatives, and favorable business environment made it a strategic choice for Tesla’s entry into the African market. The company aims to leverage Morocco as a testbed for its operations in the region, with plans to expand its footprint across Africa if successful.

By offering renewable energy products and innovative charging solutions, Tesla seeks to cater to the growing demand for sustainable transportation options in Morocco and beyond. The launch of Tesla Morocco underscores the company’s commitment to driving the adoption of electric vehicles and clean energy solutions in the region.
