TCL Electronics, a renowned global Olympic partner and a leading player in the consumer electronics industry, has unveiled its latest 2025 lineup of Mini LED TVs in the South African market. These new models are equipped with state-of-the-art High Vertical Alignment (HVA) panels and TCL’s exclusive “All-domain Halo Control” technology.

Acknowledged by Omdia, a prominent market research firm, with three prestigious Global TOP 1 rankings—Ultra-Large Screen TV Brand, Leading Mini LED TV Brand, and No.1 Google TV Brand globally—TCL continues to showcase its commitment to cutting-edge performance, stylish design, and exceptional value. A standout feature in the 2025 collection is the inclusion of HVA panels throughout the entire Mini LED range, offering wide 178-degree viewing angles for optimal viewing experience from almost any position.

The lineup comprises models ranging up to a massive 115 inches, positioning TCL as the producer of South Africa’s largest TV screens. The new C6K, C7K, C8K, and P8 models all boast full-range 144Hz refresh rates and a cinematic experience powered by advanced QD-Mini LED technology.

C6K: Elevating Mini LED Technology

The C6K series is designed to redefine home entertainment, blending cutting-edge display innovations, elegant design, and immersive audio. Utilizing advanced QD-Mini LED technology, these TVs feature over 512 local dimming zones, high dynamic range brightness, and a wide colour gamut, resulting in lifelike scenes with sharp details, vibrant colours, and excellent contrast.

This exceptional performance is made possible by TCL’s exclusive All-domain Halo Control Technology. Encompassing the entire light path from source to display, this innovation integrates high-efficiency light-emitting chips, proprietary lens systems, a micro optical distance (Micro-OD) structure, precise light and shadow control algorithms, and TCL’s in-house CSOT HVA panels. This integration significantly reduces haloing, enhances black levels, and delivers clarity from any viewing angle.

TCL’s meticulous approach ensures exceptional contrast and image precision, even in brightly lit environments.

Key Features of the TCL C6K:

  • QLED Technology: Quantum crystal material ensures a wide colour gamut and long-lasting, vivid visuals.
  • 144Hz Native Refresh Rate: Smooth, fluid motion for fast-paced scenes and gaming.
  • ONKYO 2.1 Hi-Fi Sound: Rich audio experience, with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X support.
  • Ultra-Slim Design: Magnetic wall-mounting and a sleek profile under 60mm.
  • HVA Screen (85” / 98”): Matte, anti-glare screens for comfortable viewing in bright rooms.
  • 178° Viewing Angle: Clear visuals from virtually any angle.
  • High Contrast HVA Panels (75” and below): Native contrast ratio up to 7000:1, ensuring deep blacks and vibrant detail.

P8: Everyday Excellence Meets Big Screen Brilliance

The TCL P8 brings top-tier display features to a broader audience. With 4K UHD resolution and the AiPQ 3.0 processor, it delivers rich colours, sharp detail, and smooth motion, making it a versatile choice for any type of content.

In the mid-range segment, the C7K model enhances the C6K’s offering with increased brightness and refined light control. Meanwhile, the C8K takes it a step further by integrating premium audio from Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen in sizes ranging from 50″ to 98″, delivering a powerful, cinematic sound experience.

    Smart Home Integration

TCL’s 2025 TVs also support smart home features through the Google TV platform and TCL’s range of connected devices. This includes air conditioners, seamlessly controlled via the TCL Home App. The new FreshIN 3.0 aircon range boasts an A+++ energy rating and offers up to 36% energy savings—ideal for both warm summers and chilly winter nights in South Africa.

“At TCL, we are committed to driving innovation that enhances everyday experiences, and we are thrilled to be the first to introduce All Domain Halo Control Technology to South Africa with our new range,” says Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa. “South African consumers have demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm for TCL’s innovations, and the launch of the C6K series is another step towards delivering premium technology, immersive entertainment, and unparalleled value to homes across the country.”

This new range signifies another milestone in TCL’s mission to redefine home entertainment in South Africa, combining advanced technology, striking design, and attractive pricing.
