Rudy Giuliani Hospitalized After Car Crash in New Hampshire
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized with several broken bones following a car crash in New Hampshire on Saturday evening, according to his spokesperson.
Michael Ragusa, head of Giuliani’s security, stated that prior to the accident, the 81-year-old Giuliani had stopped to assist a victim of domestic violence who had approached him for help. After waiting for police to arrive, Giuliani’s car was rear-ended while traveling on the highway.
Giuliani was taken to a nearby trauma center where he was treated for a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg.
Ragusa emphasized that the crash was not a targeted attack and urged the public not to spread conspiracy theories.
Further details or comments from Ragusa or Giuliani’s representative were not immediately available.
Giuliani, who served as mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001, later became an adviser to President Donald Trump and his personal lawyer. In 2023, Giuliani was indicted for conspiracy to alter the outcome of the 2020 election along with Trump. Subsequently, in 2024, his law license was suspended for disseminating false information about the 2020 election.
