Prophecy: John Mahama will soon be ordained as a pastor — Sonnie Badu
SHARE

Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu has made a bold prediction about former President John Dramani Mahama, stating that he believes Mahama will soon become ordained as a pastor. Badu, who is the founder of Rockhill Church in the United States, shared his prophecy on Instagram, declaring that Mahama’s political comeback has been successful, and the next step for him is to answer the call to ministry.

In his Instagram post, Badu wrote, “Now that His Excellency has fulfilled the comeback mission, there is one more hurdle to overcome; call it a prophecy. His Excellency will soon be ordained as a pastor.” This statement has sparked a lot of conversation in Ghana, with many speculating about what this potential career change could mean for Mahama and for the nation as a whole.

John Mahama’s return to power has been viewed by many as a “rescue mission” to address the challenges faced by the country during the previous government’s tenure. Badu, a highly acclaimed musician in the gospel industry, expressed his congratulations to Mahama for what he sees as a transformation into a man of God. He even suggested that Mahama could potentially become the first pastor-president in Ghana’s history.

“He might become the first pastor to serve as a president. Congratulations in advance,” Badu added in his post.

Mahama’s political journey has been nothing short of remarkable. After losing the 2020 elections to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, he made history by winning the 2024 elections in a landslide victory against former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He was sworn in as the 6th president of the 4th Republic of Ghana on January 7, 2025, in a ceremony held at the Black Star Square in Accra and presided over by Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

Prior to this, Mahama had previously served as president from 2013 to 2017. His return to power has been celebrated as a significant moment in Ghanaian political history. With Sonnie Badu’s prophecy adding a spiritual dimension to Mahama’s journey, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the former president and potential pastor.
