Progresso has unveiled a unique treat to celebrate National Soup Month – chicken noodle-flavored hard candies known as “Soup Drops.” These candies, which resemble cough drops, are perfect for the cold and flu season.

According to General Mills, the parent company of Progresso, these Soup Drops are designed to provide the comforting taste of chicken noodle soup in a convenient and portable form. MC Comings, a vice president at General Mills, stated, “When you’re sick, nothing is truly more reassuring than chicken noodle soup. So, we thought, why stop at the soup bowl?”

The Soup Drops are available for $2.49, which is the price of a typical can of Progresso soup. Each tin contains 20 drops packed with flavors of broth, veggies, chicken, soft egg noodles, and a hint of parsley. Customers will also receive a can of real Progresso soup along with their order.

While some people expressed skepticism about the concept of chicken noodle-flavored candies, the initial batch of Soup Drops sold out quickly. However, General Mills has announced that the drops will be restocked every Thursday at 9 a.m. through the end of January, while supplies last. Fans are already eagerly awaiting the next drop and can purchase them at ProgressoSoupDrops.com.

Despite mixed reactions from the public, it’s clear that Progresso’s Soup Drops have generated buzz and intrigue among soup lovers. Whether you’re a fan of traditional chicken noodle soup or looking for a unique culinary experience, these candies offer a fun twist on a classic comfort food.
