Defense Witnesses Summoned for Bryan Kohberger’s Murder Trial in Idaho Stabbings
As the murder trial for accused killer Bryan Kohberger, charged in the fatal 2022 stabbings of four University of Idaho students, approaches, five individuals from his life in Pennsylvania have been called as defense witnesses for the upcoming trial.
Jesse Harris, the owner of the boxing gym where Kohberger trained, is among the five individuals summoned to testify in court, as per court records.
Additionally, Ann Parham, one of Kohberger’s former academic advisors, has also been named as a witness in the trial, according to court filings and reports.
Ralph Vecchio, an individual who worked at an auto shop frequented by Kohberger, has been identified as another potential witness, along with Maggie Sanders and Brandon Andreola, as mentioned in the court documents.
The nature of the relationships between Sanders, Andreola, and Kohberger, who is 30 years old, remains unknown at this time.
The five witnesses have been directed to appear at a court hearing scheduled for June 30 at the Monroe County Courthouse in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
During the hearing, each witness will have the opportunity to present reasons why they should not be compelled to testify in the out-of-state proceeding.

Kohberger, a former graduate student in criminal justice at Washington State University, stands accused of the stabbing deaths of University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves.
The four victims were discovered deceased in a rental home near the University of Idaho campus in Moscow on November 13, 2022.
A not guilty plea has been entered on Kohberger’s behalf, and prosecutors have indicated their intent to seek the death penalty if he is convicted.
