India launched a series of precision cruise missile strikes at nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) in response to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 tourists. The targets included hubs of terrorist activity affiliated with groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).

  1. Markaz Subhan Allah, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan
Located on the outskirts of Bahawalpur, this markaz is the main training and indoctrination center for JeM. It is associated with the terrorists who planned the Pulwama attack in 2019. The facility is linked to JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar and other key members.

  2. Markaz Taiba, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Muridke, Punjab
Established in 2000, this training center is crucial for LeT’s operations. It provides arms and physical training, as well as religious indoctrination for terrorists. The facility has been used for several attacks, including the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

  3. Sarjal/Tehra Kalan facility, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Shakargarh, Narowal District, Punjab, Pakistan
This facility serves as a launching site for JeM terrorists infiltrating into Jammu and Kashmir. It is strategically located near the International Border and has been involved in tunnel digging and drone activities.

  4. Mehmoona Joya Facility, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), Head Marala, Sialkot
Used for training HM cadres for terrorist operations, this facility in Sialkot district has been involved in several attacks in the region. It is led by commanders like Mohd Irfan Khan and Atta Al Rehman Alfezey.

  5. Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Bhimber District, PoJK
An important LeT markaz in PoJK, it is used for infiltration of terrorists and arms into Indian territory. The facility accommodates around 100-150 terrorists and is supervised by LeT leaders for organizing terror activities.

  6. Markaz Abbas, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Kotli
Located in Kotli, this JeM facility is headed by Qari Zarrar and has been involved in planning and executing terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. It serves as a storage location for arms and ammunition.

  7. Maskar Raheel Shahid, Hizbul-Mujahideen, Kotli, PoJK
Supervised by Abu Maaz and Abdul Rehman, this HM facility specializes in training terrorists for Border Action Team (BAT) actions targeting Indian security forces.

  8. Shawai Nallah Camp, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Muzaffarabad, PoJK
One of the most important LeT camps, it is used for recruitment, registration, and training of terrorists. The facility has been functional since the early 2000s and is supervised by LeT head Hafiz Saeed.

  9. Syedna Bilal Markaz, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Muzaffarabad, PoJK
This JeM facility serves as a transit camp for terrorists before launching into Jammu and Kashmir. It is supervised by JeM operational commander Mufti Asghar Khan Kashmiri and houses around 50-100 terrorists at any given time.

These targeted strikes were aimed at dismantling the infrastructure of terrorist organizations operating in the region and sending a strong message against cross-border terrorism. The Indian government remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens against such threats.
