Fast Food Bandit Strikes Four Restaurants in the Bronx
It seems this criminal has a craving for more than just fast food – he’s on a spree of robbing junk food joints in the Bronx. The gun-wielding thief has hit four chain restaurants over nine days, even going as far as ordering food before pulling out his weapon and demanding cash, according to the NYPD.
The first incident took place at a Kennedy Fried Chicken in Claremont Village, where the robber ordered a meal before brandishing a gun and snatching cash from the register in the early hours of February 17th. Just a week later, he struck again at a Wing Stop in Pelham Bay, threatening an employee and making off with the cash register.
But this fast food fiend wasn’t done yet. Later that same night, he targeted a McDonald’s drive-thru in Eastchester, stealing $150 from an employee at gunpoint. And in his final robbery, the suspect entered a White Castle in Soundview, ordered food, and then brazenly ripped out the cash register in front of shocked employees before making his escape.
After each robbery, the suspect fled in a black SUV, leaving authorities searching for clues to track him down. The NYPD is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or visit the Crime Stoppers website to submit tips anonymously.
