Ho (V/R), Aug. 21, GNA – The Volta Regional Office of the National Sports Authority (NSA) is preparing to present a comprehensive developmental plan to the Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, as part of renewed efforts to strengthen sports growth in the region.
Renewed Focus on Sports Development
At a meeting with Sports Federation Heads on Wednesday in Ho, the Volta Regional Director of NSA, Madam Philippina Frimpong, urged stakeholders to go beyond listing challenges and to also propose practical solutions. She cautioned that focusing only on problems could hinder their core responsibility of advancing sports in the region.
NSA’s Vision for Regional Sports Development
Outlining NSA’s vision, Madam Frimpong highlighted priority areas that would guide regional sports development, adding that these focus points would form the basis of their submission to the Regional Minister for consideration and adoption.
Promoting Success Stories
The NSA’s Planning and Evaluation Officer, Mr. Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe, encouraged federations to share more of their success stories, noting that many positive achievements remain untold. According to him, showcasing such stories could help attract greater interest and support from corporate bodies, philanthropists, and development partners.
Collaboration for Sustainable Sports Ecosystem
The meeting brought together leaders of about 20 sports federations in the region, signaling a stronger spirit of collaboration towards building a sustainable and competitive sports ecosystem in Volta.
