The Kingdom of Morocco’s efforts to support the Palestinian cause were recently praised by the Republic of Iraq. Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein commended His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for his continuous support in defending the city of Al-Quds Asharif.
During his visit to Rabat, Fuad Hussein met with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates MFA Nasser Bourita. The Iraqi diplomat highlighted the King’s efforts in preserving Al-Quds’s cultural identity and its status as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence among religions.
Fuad Hussein also appreciated His Majesty the King’s support for the residents of Al-Quds through humanitarian and social projects carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee.
The visit marked the first bilateral visit by Fuad Hussein since assuming office as Iraq’s foreign minister. The Iraqi diplomat’s visit was at the invitation of Bourita and took place from February 5 to 9.
