British actor Mark Strong takes on the role of the first Padishah Emperor Javicco Corrino in the hit TV series ‘Dune: Prophecy’. Set in a fictional world a thousand years before the rise of lead character Paul Atreides, the show delves into themes that mirror real-world experiences.
According to Strong, the series explores a world where different groups, countries, or in this case, houses, are all vying for power and control to benefit themselves and their families above all else.
Co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ follows the success of the film franchise, with the first film winning six Oscars and the second becoming a blockbuster hit in 2024.
This prequel series is set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ reign, focusing on two Harkonnen sisters as they navigate challenges that threaten humanity’s future and establish the Bene Gesserit sect.
