Manchester United Should Consider Selling Marcus Rashford in January

As a die-hard Manchester United fan, it pains me to say this, but it may be time for the club to consider selling Marcus Rashford when the January transfer window opens. Rashford’s recent comments about being ready for a new challenge and his entitlement attitude are undermining the efforts of the new Red Devils manager, Ruben Amorim.

The striker’s behavior and public statements about being dropped for the Manchester derby against City are disappointing. As a player who came through the United youth ranks and made it to the first team, Rashford should be setting a better example of professionalism and commitment to the club.

Rashford’s sense of entitlement is unacceptable, especially considering his lackluster performances on the pitch in recent games. His comments about being ready for a new challenge raise questions about his commitment to the team and the new direction that Amorim is trying to take the club in.

It is essential for Amorim to have a squad of players who are fully committed to the team’s goals and values. Rashford’s lack of enthusiasm and poor work ethic on the field are not in line with the standards expected at Manchester United, a club with a rich history of success and excellence.

Amorim’s emphasis on unity and team spirit was evident in the dramatic 2-1 win over City, a game in which Rashford was left out of the squad. The victory without Rashford highlights the importance of a cohesive team that works together towards a common goal, rather than relying on individual talents.

While Rashford is undoubtedly a talented player, his attitude and lack of commitment to the team’s objectives may be detrimental to the club’s success in the long run. Selling him in January could send a strong message that no player is bigger than the club and that a culture of mediocrity will not be tolerated.

It is time for Manchester United to prioritize the team’s unity and collective goals over individual egos. By parting ways with Rashford, the club can focus on building a cohesive and committed squad that is dedicated to achieving success under Amorim’s leadership.
