Man Shot Inside Roscoe Village Home, Police Searching for Known Suspect
CHICAGO — Police are on the lookout for a known suspect after a 53-year-old man was shot inside his home in Roscoe Village on Saturday morning.
The incident took place in the 1900 block of West Roscoe at around 8:18 a.m., as reported by Chicago police.
According to police radio traffic, a 911 caller identified the shooter as her ex-boyfriend who had entered the residence and shot her roommate in the shoulder. The suspect, who has two felony gun convictions in Cook County, fled the scene on foot.
Described by officers as a 35-year-old Middle Eastern male, standing at 5’8” tall and weighing 145 pounds, the suspect was possibly wearing khaki pants and a jacket with two colors.
This shooting marks the first incident in Roscoe Village since December 2021.
