Offshore Montauk: The New Luxury Hotel on the East End

Offshore Montauk is set to make waves this summer as the newest luxury hotel on the East End. Situated on the site of the former Sands Motel, this chic hotel is poised to redefine the hospitality scene in Montauk with its upscale amenities and breathtaking views.

Owned by Marley Dominguez’s Enduring Hospitality Group, Offshore Montauk offers a range of room options, with rates starting at $700 and going up to $1,000, and even reaching $2,000 for multiple bedroom suites on holiday weekends. The property was acquired for $23.5 million last year, a bargain compared to the initial $28 million asking price.

Located at 71 South Emerson Ave, Offshore boasts stunning ocean and Fort Pond views. The 43 rooms have been meticulously renovated to provide guests with a luxurious and comfortable stay. In addition to the beautifully appointed rooms, guests can indulge in spa treatments, relax on the pool deck, or take advantage of the state-of-the-art gym facilities.

The hotel is centered around wellness, offering a range of amenities designed to promote relaxation and rejuvenation. A restaurant and bar with a rooftop space are set to open next summer, adding to the allure of this stylish retreat.

In addition to the luxurious accommodations, Offshore Montauk also offers a range of dining options, including a fast-casual concept called AMMA Fresh Greek. Helmed by Michelin-starred Greek chef Lefteris Lazarou, this new restaurant focuses on speed, taste, and nutrition, offering a menu filled with traditional Greek dishes and modern creations.

Guests can build their own plates with a selection of proteins, purees, carbs, and vegetables, as well as enjoy classic Greek desserts like bougatsa and portokalopita. The restaurant is part of the transformed Penn Station retail concourse level, providing a unique dining experience in the heart of the city.

As the summer approaches, another exciting event on the horizon is Taste of the West Side, a culinary extravaganza featuring over 70 chefs showcasing their culinary creations. Held at the Louis Brandeis Campus, this two-night event will benefit Lifeforce in Later Years (L.I.L.Y) and Young People Chorus, adding a charitable element to the festivities.

Breads Bakery founder Gadi Peleg is also making headlines with the opening of BUBA Bureka, the first dedicated bureka shop in the Big Apple. Partnering with Chef Ben Siman-Tov, Peleg is bringing a modern take on Middle Eastern cuisine to the bustling Bleecker Street location, offering a range of savory and sweet burekas to tantalize the taste buds.

With all these exciting developments in the hospitality and culinary scene, it’s clear that Montauk and the surrounding areas are set to be the go-to destinations for luxury travelers and food enthusiasts alike. Experience the best that the East End has to offer at Offshore Montauk and other top-notch establishments this summer.
