Lobi Stars Coach Daniel Amokachi Rues Unfortunate 1-0 Loss to Remo Stars
Lobi Stars head coach, Daniel Amokachi, has described his team’s recent 1-0 defeat to Remo Stars in the NPFL Matchday 10 as “unfortunate.” The Makurdi-based team put up a strong performance at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ogun State, creating numerous scoring opportunities but struggled to convert them into goals.
Despite the efforts of Ossy Martins and Jimmy Iteji, Lobi Stars failed to secure a point, with Michael Ibe’s header in the second half sealing the victory for the home team.
Amokachi, however, praised his team for adapting well to his tactical approach. “We played with a 4-5-1 formation away from home, which suited us very well. But in such a setup, you need to be fully focused. Any lapse in concentration will be punished,” he noted, acknowledging the progress his players have made under his guidance.
Looking forward, Amokachi is determined to work on refining the team’s performance, addressing any weaknesses, and preparing the players for their upcoming clash against Abia Warriors at the Lafia City Stadium on Matchday 11.
